Influence of William Shakespeare on Melville’s Moby-Dick

In Edinburgh Review in 1820, Sydney Smith said: "Who was reading a US book by four quarters of the world?" (Paragraph 4). This is the traditional concept of American conservative literature on American literature. But Melville proved this hypothetical mistake of British writers not by arguing with them, but by its huge work whose quality is comparable to Shakespeare's big tragedy. Melville's masterpiece "Moby Dick" consists of thousands of literature, but Shakespeare is specifically mentioned in this book.

Shakespeare influenced novelists such as Thomas Hardy, William Faulkner and Charles Dickens. The American novelist Herman Melville's monologue is mainly attributed to Shakespeare; Captain of his white whale, Ahab is a hero of a classic tragedy inspired by King Lear. The scholars discovered 20,000 songs of music related to Shakespeare 's work. These include two operas, Giuseppe Verdi, Outlaw and Falstaff, whose important status is compared with the original drama. Shakespeare has also influenced many painters including Romanticism and Raffaello frontier. Swiss romantic artist Henry Fussel is a friend of William Black and translates Macbeth into German. Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud uses Shakespeare's psychology, especially Hamlet's psychology for his anthropological theory.

In 1850, Herman Melville's Moby-Dick Herman Melville began producing his epic novel Moby-Dick, mainly as a report on the whaling voyage of the 1830s and the early 1940s. Many critics believe that his original book did not have characters like Ahab, Starbucks, even Beluga, but changed the text of Melville and his masterpiece in the summer of 1850.
