The role of medieval churches in the Middle Ages is far beyond the role the church plays today. In the Middle Ages England, the church dominated the lives of all. People in the Middle Ages believe in God, Heaven, and Hell, whether they are rural farmers or urban people. From the earliest days people were told if the Roman Catholic Church allowed them to open their only path. Everyone is afraid of hell, and people will be told in their weekly service to wait for their pure fear in hell.
For centuries, the Catholic Church was a religion and an institution. This is how people live in the Middle Ages. King, Queen, Knight, and soldiers accepted Catholic faith until the lowest class. In medieval Europe, the Catholic Church was closely related to the country. The king and all political authorities are responsible for supporting and maintaining the church. This means that the church strengthened the political power and authority of the state and the state did the same for the church.

In the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church dominated Europe. The law established by this church constitutes the theological government which influences life. Therefore, all laws are enacted from churches throughout Europe. It also affected the people fighting in the Crusades. Domination of knowledge and power is the foundation of every successful religious organization. The Catholic Church gained this power by strategically managing the hearts of believers.
