Inequality exists in every aspect of life. The nature and consequences of this inequality determine our social and economic lives. As people progress in their educational career, certain inequalities will result in different schooling education for different groups of people. "In the UK after the war, students with a working class background got a job that is continually recognized as having a low academic background, underestimated by higher education institutions, and finally gives little opportunity for social progress ".
There are five systems / types of social inequalities, such as inequality of wealth, unequal treatment and responsibility, political inequality, inequality of life, membership inequality, etc. as social inequality. Because political inequality is the difference in ability to acquire the federal government's resources, there is no citizen's equality. Some people get more benefits from differences in treatment and responsibility and can gain more privileges faster than others. There are also people who are given more responsibility at workstations so that you can get better rewards and more profits with the same qualifications. Member inequality This is the number of members of the family, country or faith. Life inequality is brought about by different opportunities to improve people's quality of life. Finally, income and wealth inequality is due to personal daily income, monthly or annual gross income.
Professor Torche's scholarship examines the dynamics of inequality - how inequality continues between life and generation. From the prenatal stage she studied educational opportunities, migration between generations, wealth differences, marriage of spouses, and early inequality of inferiority complex. Most of Torche's research uses the international comparison perspective. She did a number of investigations, including the first national social mobility study in Chile and Mexico. Her research is funded by the Ford Foundation, the Spencer Foundation, the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
