Industrialization occurs when large-scale introduction of industry into the region or country. For example, when the economy shifts from agriculture-based industry to manufacturing and other industries.

In the West, industrialization occurred from the 1700s to the 19th century, and changes also started in the UK. This period is called industrial revolution. Textile manufacturing industry was mechanized, transport (canal, railway, highway system) became more efficient and introduced steam power. Products are easy to get and cheaper

The Industrial Revolution began in the latter half of the 18th century and has the effect of significant urbanization. Industrialization is a fundamental driving force for urbanization and urbanization, and cities are important land for industrialization. Industrialization and urbanization have grown like brothers and are growing together (Lexicon Universal Encyclopedia, 1997). Industrialization is an initiator of urbanization, urbanization is an unavoidable result of industrialization. - With the rapid industrialization of the United States, mass-produced products are spreading nationwide. The speed of transportation is important to provide food, supplies and raw materials to industrial centers that need them. In the early 1800's, various transportation systems including roads, canals, steamboats, railroads, etc. were introduced, which contributed to the industrialization of the United States.

In the United States, the second industrial revolution took place in the period of rapid territorial expansion. With a vast land, people feel the need for large-scale industries, and the infrastructure for traffic and communication is rapidly expanding. Abundant natural resources such as ore, coal and iron promote large-scale mining and transportation, and provide raw materials to the industry. The Second Industrial Revolution took place during the wave immigration as a large number of people emigrated to the United States, mainly to find employment opportunities in the industry booming nation. The political pattern also occupied an important position in the government's economic reform during the revolution. The transportation industry has undergone a revolutionary change through the use of railways that enable large-scale transport at low cost.

Modern civilization experienced three major social and economic changes, the industrial revolution. The first industrial revolution was built around steam and transformed the modern society by redefining the transportation and manufacturing process. According to Thomas Edison, who promised to "reorganize the lives of the world" by providing efficient energy and modern communication, the emergence of electricity has caused a second revolution . Electricity has paved the way for our third (and present) digital revolution by releasing civilization from fossil fuels and providing technology to more than 4 billion people worldwide. What is common to all major revolutions is that widely-defined technology promote social development by redefining our participation methods, promoting quality of life and promoting economic development.
