Stakeholders: People / organizations have many important people, people, groups and companies. These important figures are governments, teachers, special education students, people affected by special education programs, and the public. Government is important as the government manages public schools suitable for FAPE. In fact, without a government all schools are private schools. The government subsidizes public schools and several private schools. The government also funds special education programs required by FAPE.
* / You may be familiar with other federal laws that apply to the education of disabled students - "Education for Persons with Disabilities" (IDEA). The law is managed by the Special Education Program Bureau of the Department of Rehabilitation Services of the Special Education Department of the US Department of Education. The regulation of IDEA and its individual education program (IEP) does not apply to higher education schools. This booklet does not discuss possible IDEA or state and local laws.
The IEP or Individual Education Program is a legal document specifying the educational goals of children with disabilities. According to the Education for Persons with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), all children receiving special education services must receive a separate educational program. Read on to learn more about these types of programs, what they can include, and how they will help children with special needs. Your child's IEP must include a statement that indicates his or her current performance level (PLOP), that is, how they are currently doing at school. In addition, we will clarify annual educational goals and support services offered by the school, as well as corrections and adjustments that will help to achieve these goals. This may include additional staff such as course changes, assistive technology, additional exam time, class accommodations, or faculty assistants.
