In our time leader 's response, "When I was sitting in the morning stern lake with my father' s rowing, I felt he never died" (19). The first four readings of "our time" seem to focus on the relationship between life and death indicated by life. After reading the first story, it must be very sincere to say that I do not think that I understand all the emphasis on the subject.

As a story of Rhodads and Michie, Mark shows that it is necessary to distinguish between "implicit readers" and "readers of the 1st century". "Implied reader" is a fictitious reader ("implicitly or implicitly, the ideal reaction experiences doubt or surprise or sympathy for a person at an appropriate time") (p. 137) . By contrast, "readers of the first century" is a "true reader", "When you write this book you see the world of the story in relation to events in the real world" (page 140).

The reader's reaction is a literary criticism school that ignores the author's content and sentences and limits analysis to the reader's specific work. Reader's reaction theorist pays special attention to traditional teaching methods. That means literary works have a specific interpretation. According to Louise Rosenblatt, one of the main characters of the reader's response, all reading is a transaction (represented by immutable text) between the reader and the author. In addition, whether the reader's "position" is "aesthetic" (by reading or entertainment reading) or "going out" (reading through homework or reading), great impact on the text experience I think.

In many cases, the criticism of the reader 's reaction will develop mainly on the phenomenon "reacting to reading".
