In a speech by William J. Bennett entitled "Drug Policy and Intellectuals" in favor of a more free drug policy, Bennett argues that drug problems in the U.S. can eventually be solved . In my opinion, the drug problem in the United States can not fully solve the problem of drug abuse in the US, but drug abuse can be alleviated. An effective way to achieve this goal is to legalize individuals with more common and less effective medications (such as marijuana) and stop wasting time and fines to punish minors.

Supporters of drug policy can not be classified as liberal, conservative, leftist, right wing, democratic, Republican. While conservatives such as Milton Friedman and William Berkeley support the legalization of drugs, many Liberal Party and Democratic Party, like the 103rd Congress, support the crime of drugs and their efforts. However, it is customary to smoke only at coffee shops or private places, and it is considered rude to use drugs and high on public roads so let's keep a certain discipline.

Serious drug policy needs to be carefully considered. Some countries have taken aggressive measures to mitigate the sudden stimulus of the US drug policy, but these are just a few drops of clean water with anti-productive mission. Truly effective reforms require not only a change at the state level, but ultimately a major shift in the federal government both within the United States and internationally.
