Importance of Memory Colors One of the most influential aspects of our quality of life is color. We use color perception everyday. Without color, you can not see traffic lights or watch the sunset. Learning techniques will be more difficult. Color is an important function that helps informing and recognizing organizations. Memory color is a phenomenon in which the characteristic color of an object affects recognition of that color. For many reasons it is important to study which color maximizes memory.

Memory color is that the observer understands the color of a typical object. Typicality of a memory color means that the observer believes that the memory color represents a range of colors in which each object appears in the color range, ie, it is "standard". In this way, it determines the viewer's expectation for the color of the object based on his previous knowledge. For example, a viewer familiar only with the yellow color of a mature common banana (ie Cavendish Banana) is surprised to see a red Dhaka banana as it does not match the memory color of this observer I guess.

It is color. The most typical memory color tends to exaggerate the actual hue of the color diagnostic object. This means that in the case of objects with color like banana, the memory color is supersaturated, meaning that the saturation is too low for objects that are not normally like broccoli. Furthermore, if the saturation changes, the tolerance range will be wider than the hue. In other words, the memory color is clearly defined in the hue rather than the saturation. Development of preschoolers (up to age 5) may still be difficult, when asked to determine the appropriate color (for example) for very common color diagnostic subjects. Several methods evaluate the color knowledge of an object by the perceived performance impact (see also the "Memory color effect" section).
