Individualism - collectivism, manhood, distance of power, avoidance of uncertainty, and Confucian vitality ranking and index
Individualism - collectivism Lukes (1973) first introduced the structure of collectivism and individualism. Collectivism emphasizes collective groups, emphasizes interdependence, individualism emphasizes personal and independent values (Luke, 1973). In literature review, Triandis (1993) introduced the concept of collectivism and individualism into "cultural syndrome". - PALL MALL Social integration of tobacco and advertisement Sloan Wilson did not announce "Man in the Glen Flannel Set" until 1955. This is the classic of the middle class integration of the 1950s. However, by July 1953, the tobacco advertiser of PALL MALL seems to have noticed that "socially, there are no rough cuts, people who are avoiding eccentricity seem to get rewards" (Blum 794). Time magazine's publicity seems to prove this conclusion.
Individualism and collectivism (IND). Individualism represents the preference for a loosely-knit social framework, where individuals can only take care of themselves and their familiar families. The opposite collectivism explains the preference for a tightly integrated framework in society, where individuals are integrated into a powerful and coherent group. In the current sample, the IND score is between 6 (Guatemala) and 91 (United States). 1 / 245.17, SD 1 / 225.81. Masculinity and femininity (MAS). Masculinity explains social preferences for achievement, heroism, confidence and material rewards. On the contrary, femininity expresses concern for cooperation, humility, weakness, and interest in quality of life. Some GLOBE dimensions are power distance, individualism / collectivism, humanity orientation, performance orientation, uncertainty avoidance, gender difference and future orientation.
