Why Eudora Welty was named for the story of a woman going to town (Welty 285), a story about a mythic bird that was born after longevity (Mercantante 527). When reading "A Worn Path" by Eudora Welty, it seems like a simple story about an old lady who swallowed the city with lye (Welty 289) to buy medicine for a sick grandchild. After reading and studying further, the meaning and depth of the story became clear. The worn road is not an ordinary route that often goes home across the town.

The term "immortality" in gerontology can not be confused with Greek's immortal or eternal life consciousness. At the present time, the exponential growth of the species population mortality appears to be stable, resulting in a sudden plateau in later years. Ross stated that this phenomenon occurs when the species no longer reaches a state of aging or when it is no longer losing physiological function. Ross believes that if human beings can live long enough, they will also experience the stage of biological immortality. "You may die, but the idea here is that you are not aging, compared to aging, the likelihood of survival under good conditions is decreasing."

The announcement of Diotima at the seminar was developed mainly on the theme of immortality. People pursue some immortal feelings, such as giving birth to children and giving ideas and virtues to other people, leading to the relief of immortality in religious sense. In general, humans are particularly interested in immortalization and, for that reason, spend most of their lives. This is not logical unless it is eternal life. Introduction: Unless the world is supplemented by living things, everything will eventually die; rather the world is continually supplemented by living things, they must exist somewhere outside the world before entering not. As Socrates states, "When all living things die and died, the dead should remain in this state, and in the end all will inevitably die" (Faedo 72c))
