Back then and present migrant workers were vulnerable to injuries at work due to entry permission and limited English ability. Migrant workers, the backbone of many industries in the US economy, are focused on work that faces the worst working conditions, has the longest working hours, and does not pay for living wages. If you do not keep the rights of migrant workers, the rights of all workers will be threatened, thereby reducing the wages and working conditions of the whole workforce. The vulnerability of migrant workers has a direct impact on their families and it is a big task for them to make a full contribution to American society.
