Image of African American Women

To gather respect for African-American women, black female artists avoid wearing fitted dresses during the performance (Feldstein 27). They face a negative assumption about the image of black hair and use natural hair to condemn it (Feldstein 27). Black female artists want to recognize their audience that they are black women (Feldstein 27) to break the ethnic barriers, dismantle the wrong depiction, and rebuild the black statue. Body image of African-American women - The body image of African-American women is an important aspect in understanding eating disorders.
