IELTS Essay 1169 - Families who send their children to private schools should not pay taxes

Families going to private schools for children do not need to pay taxes to support state education system.

In most countries, the educational system is supported mainly by the government, but private schools are maintained by private schools. Parents who bring their children to private schools think that they should be exempt from education tax to pay all school fees to private schools. I personally object to this proposed policy.

First, the government did not force anyone to educate his children at private schools. If someone chooses to bring the child to a private school, he voluntarily accepts a higher fee. From a practical point of view, wealthy citizens send their children to private schools, which are higher taxpayers. If they are exempted from taxation, it will be difficult for the government to manage state-supported education systems. In addition, the double standard taxation will cause a strong protest from the people.

Secondly, all citizens should pay educational tax on their own to fulfill their responsibility to the state. Money collected by tax is used to operate the national education system.

Finally, not all citizens use the services generally provided by taxpayers. For example, many urban residents are always looking at private medical services, even if they pay taxes to state-run medical facilities. This is the reason why the double taxation policy of individuals sending descendants to private schools may worsen the overall tax system.

Finally, I strongly endorse all citizens to pay taxes to promote the strengthening of national education systems, whether they send their children to public schools or send them to private schools .

I agree with the explanation that parents are already spending a lot of money at school to sacrifice their children's education so parents should not pay taxes to send their children to private schools. For example, in Canada, private schools and universities want to obtain a large amount of funds from parents who want to provide higher education to their children. So they should not pay more education taxes. Certainly many parents are letting their children go to school which is not public and they do not need to pay tax for the educational system. Parents agree that they need to pay only for private schools the children are studying but I believe that taxing them is necessary to help the government improve the educational environment think. On the other hand, I agree to spend money on the school where my children live, it is enough for the family. For example, private elementary schools reinvest in tuition fees to create a high-quality environment for the future of the next generation. In addition, paying for the school has too much impact on the parents, so additional costs can be a burden in some respects. Due to geographical disadvantages and the complex politics of public schools, many poor families have few options.
