Identity Theory

In my opinion, as mentioned by activists first, the mental state is not behavioral. The idea that the state of mind is the state of the brain is called the identity theory of the mind. In the theory of identity there are two, in the theory of type recognition, the state of mind is considered to be the same as the state of the brain, and in the theory of symbolic identity, the state of mind is related to the state of the brain. Putnam attacks the type recognition theory in "the essence of the state of the mind", if the mental state is a function, the type recognition theory assumes that animals with the same mental state need to have the same brain structure He pointed out. He thinks this is unlikely, and it is highly likely that animals will carry out similar overall functions but have functional systems with different functions. In other words, if conscious experience is assumed to be a set of functions, then token identity theory is more likely than type identity theory.

In this article, we briefly introduce three different theories that can be used to explain the relationship between identity and material environment, namely social identity theory, local identity theory, and identity process theory. Local identity theory made a positive contribution to the field of psychology and emphasized the influence of the physical environment on identity. However, few studies support this theory, the details of which are not related to other psychological identity theory. Mainstream psychology does not know anything about the physical environment, but processes described in social identity theory and identity process theory can also be used to explain the relationship between identity and location. Others say that general identity theory can be used to explain the regional relevance of identity and develop further, it can unify and expand knowledge in the environment and mainstream psychology believe.
