This course also prepares me for future sociological courses at high school or university, or prepares me for a career in a sociology career. I gained a lot of benefits from that research, especially the social problems of sociology. In most recorded histories, social problems exist throughout society, and they will continue to exist as described in some examples of this semester study. For example, urbanization and our transportation system may continue to increase those problems over time and create more subjective concern about change.
Social workers analyze policies, plans, and regulations to understand the most effective ways. They identify social problems, study needs and related issues, conduct research, propose legislation, and propose alternatives and new programs. They can promote a group alliance with similar interests and build an organizational network. From activities to leadership, careers of many social workers develop naturally. From the Legislature to the US House of Representatives, to the Senate, more social workers have election offices from the Board of Education to local and county governments. Social workers also play a leading role in local governments, states, and federal agencies.
This course will introduce the sociology of social problems systematically. I will analyze some of the more common social problems in modern society from the viewpoint of sociology and analyze the structure and culture of this society while trying to determine the method and cause of these problems. This course focuses on two main issues. This course introduces the core concepts and methods that sociologists use to study social problems and applies them to topics such as race, class, gender, health, environment. . You develop your "sociological imagination" by deepening your understanding of how personal experience is related to historical and contemporary social structure. Challenges and projects will give you the opportunity to investigate other social problems not covered by this course.
