Discussion between idealism and realism is a complex, often controversial, philosophical and ethical field. On the other hand, idealism is related to transcendental reality, which emphasizes the motivation for achieving a high level of mental concept and integrity. On the other hand, realists question the validity and practicality of idealistic ethics. To understand the basis of this argument, I have to think of the long history of Western idealism from the beginning of Platonic's ideal form. When forming a critical approach to idealism, the rise of reason, science, and secular society must also be considered. This paper argues that these two extremes can be more effectively integrated into the understanding of good aspects of idealism and realism.

The term idealism has many explanations in philosophy and ethics. On the other hand, idealism is seen as the highest profit that people can achieve. The term ideal refers to the concept of "concept", or the complete concept of thought and action. Meanwhile, idealism is criticized as not being in contact with actual facts and moral requirements in contemporary context. This also affects educational practice. In a more traditional sense, ideals and reality are considered to be the same. This refers to the concept of ideal shape in Plato's philosophy.

However, in a more modern context, idealism also has a morally suspicious meaning in a sense. One of the general criticisms of idealism is that it distorts the reality and therefore is morally suspect. This view is extended to Nietzsche's interrogation and reality analysis of the idealism, the main story of mistakes and composition, and disassembly of idealism in postmodern.
