IB Student Reflection

As an IB student, it is very important to recognize that the research plan is certainly an international program involving schools around the world. Therefore IB exists in various different cultures and countries. As a student of the IB program, I noticed that many studies have focused on literature. There are many opportunities to study books, popular novels and poetry in English classes and history classes. Furthermore, many of them can be examples of world literature or popular literature in American literature.

One of the basic principles of the IB program is to teach students how to learn. The required knowledge theory course gives the student the opportunity to think about how they know what they know. Such reflections include problems such as "what does it count as evidence under certain circumstances?" And "how a particular theory functions in the real world"? All IB courses place importance on the international perspective, especially the knowledge theory course focuses on the role and use of knowledge inside and outside the student's own culture. Students acquire a viewpoint that can play a role in a world that is increasingly connected

The most familiar IB program for high school students in the United States is the IB Diploma for students between the ages of 16 and 19, or IBDP. When you heard about you offering "IB Course" at high school this means that the school is accredited to offer the International Baccalaureate Foundation. In a sense, the IB course is similar to the AP course - a way for high school students to learn a rigorous course of higher grade. However, there are mainly two differences. First, in the US high school, the IB course is much less popular than the AP course, and its usefulness is limited because it is not possible to self-learn the IB course.

Technically, all schools with IB programs are called 'IB schools'. Since "IB School" is used as shorthand, it is important to ask students how to participate in a specific school's IB. In the IB elementary school this is the most direct and IB is part of all school classes. However, this is not the case in junior high school or high school. There are 100% IB in junior high school and high school, but not all. For example, in many high schools, there are IB courses that children can choose, just as they go to school. In this case, students can participate in various levels of IB, from participating in a single IB program, including including all courses of the IB program and acquiring an IB diploma that meets various requirements. Considering this range, it is important to ask what the local schools offer and allow.
