I Was a Washington D.C. Intern

I am an intern in Washington DC. On June 9, 2003 my life rocked tremendously. This is a sunny day. The blue sky, the humidity is very high, I felt in the constitution of 4th Avenue in Washington DC. I stood before the famous architect Yang's architectural masterpiece. The sharp corner stands out towards Glas Mall and Capitol Hill as if it were a Picasso style compass pointing to all the sightseeing spots. (The corner, which is considered to be the sharpest architectural corner in the world, has a dark gray spot at eye level and only touches to see how thousands of visitors are sharpening it.)

Last summer I went to Washington DC and interned in a Texas State Peter session. I learned a lot in the legislative process and life in Washington. In Dallas, I am serving as a prosecutor for the Dallas District with Judge John Kruzout. I now have a better understanding of how the grassroots political movement works. And I know more about important topics of my community. At UT, I would like to study economics and government minors. By learning at the College of Arts and Sciences, you can continue to explore the current interest while discovering new interests. By participating in a university near the National Assembly building, I can gain experience in local politics and contribute to policy planning at the national level. Developing my political network will help to further realize the long-term goal of the political movement and it is expected that it will move for public officer someday.

On March 13th and 14th I went to Washington DC and joined the NAFSA International Educators Association advocating international education at Capitol Hill. On the first day of D.C., I learned about the fundamentals of advocacy, current political trends, and the relationship with NAFSA's legislative priorities. The next day, I visited the offices of Elizabeth Warren, Senator Edward Murkey and Rep. James McGovern, shared our personal story and asked for actions for the United States to participate globally .

Bob Fisher: While in college I was in Washington, DC in the summer for Massachusetts State Assembly Ed Markey. I need to eat without money and I will make up these fake brands and say I am the legislative assistant of Senator Tunney or Senator. Cranston ... and crashed these lobbying activities. They throw a lot of food with free wine, you can sit and eat with the senators and members of the parliament. Dobkin: That script is very interesting, but I brought it to crazy. This relationship is not that big. I have experience with close friends and family. We are like a unit, and suddenly someone fell in love with a girl. You say, "Wow, she will always be here, what impact will this have on us?"
