I Want to Study Construction Engineering and Management

Even with experts, lack of management skills can lead to catastrophic failures. Iran, my home country, lacks management skills in all aspects, especially in the construction industry. Unfortunately, bribery and dishonesty led the immature administrator to take the initiative in building projects that resulted in high cost and low quality construction. I think this situation has to change, and I want to contribute to this change. When I was a child, I was often chosen as a leader and captain of the game team.

I am a qualified engineer. But I am not a technician. I am not adopting the scientific aspect of civil engineering - geotechnical engineering, hydrology, transportation or structural engineering. I took control aspects - construction and project management. This forces me to think about working hours, resources, critical paths and crashes. After graduating from college, I worked for his company. I have not done anything for years. It is not because I am lazy because it is a family-managed job. Because I am the owner's son, people other than my family insist on giving orders to me. There is no table or chair. I go to the square every day.

Before discussing why I quit the management team, I wanted to explain briefly why I became management team. When I started engineering work for the first time, I had no intention of entering managerial position. Over time, I began to realize that many things that are valuable to the manager really are very good at it. I am good at leading discussions to ensure that they move forward. I am motivating the team to be consistent and to ensure that the team runs as expected. I am good at checking the whole situation and confirming that I am trying not to drop the framework of the whole project. After taking over responsibility of this kind to my team steadily, there are some mentors. They are really good at being my boss, so I strongly encourage you to try. I am not sure yet, but if I did not try it I decided that I would never verify whether I like a manager.

There are two main branches of civil engineering, construction and structural engineering. Engineers specializing in construction work usually work as project managers. They are in charge of project time management, transaction order related to project, maintenance of project progress, and consulting of other engineers (such as construction engineers and mechanical engineers) involved in the project. Structural engineering includes the design of bridges, structures and loads. In order to prepare a safe design, the structural engineer considers a number of factors, including building materials, the load expected to be added to the finished structure, and special issues such as earthquake and wind considerations.
