Hydrogen is the next giant of alternative energy, the hydrogen economy is an alternative energy source, it does not damage the environment. Fossil fuel, a fuel used in many countries, has destroyed the earth and must be transformed into a better alternative like a hydrogen economy. It is not used in many places, but it replaces fossil fuels and can bring back recyclable materials to the society in which they are used. This alternative economy helps to prevent damage and does not harm the surrounding environment.
Can alternative energy be an effective alternative to fossil fuels? There is a big debate as to whether alternative energy such as biofuel, hydrogen, solar heat, geothermal, or nuclear power can meet energy demand more than limited fossil fuels such as oil and coal. Supporters of alternative energy think that fossil fuels are inefficient, unsustainable, and environmentally destructive and are the main cause of global climate change. They say that renewable energy is a viable and immediate need for fossil fuel use, which can increase economy and reduce dependence on external energy. Opponents argue that many technical barriers must be overcome before alternative energy sources can replace a fraction of the electricity provided by fossil fuels. They say that fossil fuels last for hundreds of years, become more efficient and still the most economical option and say that relying on inefficient alternate energy sources will harm the economy.
Hydrogen is widely believed to be an alternative energy source. Unbonded hydrogen reserves that can supply fossil fuels and uranium are not on the earth. Instead, unbonded hydrogen is produced with the help of other energy sources. It may play an important role in the future hydrogen economy as a general energy storage system for obtaining smooth output via intermittent power sources such as solar energy and as fuel for transportation of automobiles. However, this idea is currently unrealistic: hydrogen production is inefficient, storage, transportation and conversion to electricity is high. New technology may change this situation in the future
Hydrogen is one solution to this intermittent problem. It can be produced from renewable resources by electrolysis and can be used for grid balancing, energy storage, heating, fuel cell vehicle fueling and industrial hydrogen sources. If the world really wants to avoid climate disasters it is extremely important to expand the use of renewable energy and the key to getting the full potential out of it is hydrogen.
