Human Trafficking- Global Issue

Trafficking is a global problem. Everyone can happen anywhere. This is the second most profitable crime next to drug trafficking (Tiurukanova, 2006). It is important in this statement that individuals begin to respond to trends as it is growing and may influence your politics, your neighbors, even your child. Traffickers deceive victims by fraud. The most popular forms are sex trading, labor trafficking and organ trafficking (Tiurukanova, 2006). This epidemic is not limited to the United States.

Trafficking in persons is a serious global problem that requires the consciousness and attention of the world. The United Nations Drug Offenders Office has certified human trafficking as "recruitment, transportation, assignment, detention, or receipt by force, compulsion, or other means in order to exploit these conducts" (UNODC).
