Human Sexuality: God Created Woman for Man

Initially, God created Adam and then created Eve from Adam's ribs. According to God's word and plan, women are created for men. Genesis 2: 20-22, which I pointed out, but I did not find an appropriate assistant for Adam. 21 So the Lord God made him sleep; while he slept, he took the human ribs and closed the place with the flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the ribs taken from him and then took him to him. Marriage is intended to be a sacred thing between men and women.

Understanding of Christian human identity is based on the word of God. The importance of human sexuality is particularly evident in creation. God formed mankind in his own form and created men and women (Genesis 1:27). This complementary nature of human sexuality is being reconfirmed in Chapter 2 of Genesis. Women are man-made (Genesis 3: 18-24). Therefore, from the outset, human gender identity is reciprocal. In other words, our own humanity is correctly understood as a complementary relationship with other people who are essentially similar, but whose properties are opposite. Like the creation of other gods, the gender difference between men and women is declared "very good" (Genesis 1: 31). Therefore, we assert that human sexuality is a gift from God. Through God's grace, human sexuality is rich and satisfies our personality.

The natural structure of human sexual behavior makes male and female complementary partners in expanding human life. Only a combination of men and women can express the complementarity between married couple God desires. The promise of permanent and exclusive marriage is to promote the expansion of human life and to build relationships between husband and wife as well as the background necessary to express God's expected sexual love is. In marriage, husband and wife dedicate each other with manhood and femininity (see CCC, number 1643). They are the same as humans, but unlike men and women, they are mutually understood through this natural difference. This unique complementarity makes it possible to become a husband and wife relationship at the center of marriage.
