Human Ecology- Watershed

The Brazos River appears at the intersection of Shuangshank and Saltfork near the eastern boundary of Shibi County. It will travel 840 miles through the state of Texas at the Gulf of Mexico (official website of Texas, n.d). It is the longest river in Texas with the largest emissions. As shown in the figure above, there are several waters along that route. I will handle the Bosque River basin. The Bosque river basin begins in Eras County, which includes Bosque, Hamilton, and a part of Collier County.

Some examples of the benefits that wetlands bring to society are detailed below. In addition, the essential role of wetlands in basin ecosystems has led to two related basin network modules, basin ecology (http://www.epa.gov/watertrain/ecology/) and wetlands and basin (ongoing) development ), It is also relevant. These additional modules are extremely helpful in understanding the ecology of the basin and the role of wetlands in the basin environment. Fish and wild animals use wetlands to varying degrees according to the species involved. Some people only live in wetlands throughout their lifetime, others need wetland habitat as part of their life cycle, others usually use wetlands for eating. In other words, wetlands are the main habitat for many species, which means that these species depend on them for survival and wetlands provide important seasonal habitats for others . Wetlands play an essential role in the ecology of the basin. The combination of shallow water, high levels of nutrients and primary productivity is ideal for the development of organisms that form the basis of the food web and feed many species of fish, amphibians, crustaceans and insects. Many birds and mammals depend on wetlands for food, water and evacuation centers, especially during migration and breeding. Wetland microorganisms, plants, wildlife are part of the global circulation of water, nitrogen, sulfur. In addition, scientists are beginning to realize that maintaining the atmosphere may be an additional function of wetlands. Wetlands are not released into the atmosphere like carbon dioxide but store carbon in plant communities and soils. Therefore wetlands will help alleviate global climatic conditions
