Human Cloning and Our Sense of Self

This view addresses and responds to three arguments about whether human reproductive cloning could damage our self or identity. First, cloning may ruin our sensuality and identity. But that is not our perfect personality, it can only destroy our genetic identity. Second, cloning can destroy human value and value. However, it does not make individuals interchangeable or lower moral values. Third, the freedom or autonomy of cloned people to establish their own lives will be compromised by the early twin influences. But only the false beliefs about genetic determinism can support this terrible loss of freedom.
