Interaction between humans and animals The development of a relatively new field known as "research on human-animal interaction" has played a major role in understanding the modern relationship between humans and companion animals. Scientists in this field systematically deal with relationships between humans and animals and deviate significantly from pure philosophical and emotional approaches to animals as human partners. This field has undergone substantial progress and the World Health Organization (WHO) provides some support for treatment by animals (11). However, there is concern about the welfare of animals used for treatment in the clinical setting. Problems arise: Do animals feel the same when people feel comforted through active interaction with animals? Or are they merely "tools" in this situation, are they not good for themselves?

Animal adjuvant therapy (AAT) is a method of mental health care that embeds animals into the process of psychotherapy and emphasizes the connection between humans and animals. Emotional recovery and positive psychological changes often occur when deepening the relationship between individuals and treated animals. Mood improvement and anxiety reduction are often consistent with AAT. People who admit hostility or ignore other humans may accept non-judgmental and unconditional emotions and attention of the animals. In the AAT trial, almost all participants indicated these results regardless of age, session duration, and severity of symptoms.
