I could not sleep that night because I had no chance. I shouted to my cousin many times to reduce the size of the disc player. He insisted on testing all records of my brother's heavy metal music collection to force my mind to jump too fast or to kill my ideas with angry thoughts. My tired eyes moved to my computer's alarm clock. At 11 o'clock, another time came to a brand new day. The next day I will take our cousin and see what we have set up for him near our neighborhood, but before that I may need to go to bed.

I invited artists Carlos Huante, Allen Williams and Don Lanning; they and I designed nearly 100 aliens among us during the creation. In the world of Star Trek, there is a strong alien aesthetics that distinguish it from other SF movies. These aliens are mainly composed of humanoids, so we took this into account at design time. Justin Tin picked his favorites from these and other designs in the Neville Page during weekly meetings and assigned them to various scenes. This gives dozens of approved concepts from the very beginning.

Neal Scanlan and Conor O'Sullivan have developed alien organisms in this movie to convey the biological functions and purpose of each creature. According to Scanlan, most of Scott 's inspiration for bio - design comes from natural life such as plants and marine life. Bio designer Carlos Huante chose to make this bio design pale as opposed to the black tone, which was influenced by the aesthetics of Giger's alien. Huante designed them as white and embryos as events in the movie occurred before the gigger effect came into force. Huante was influenced by Scott's engineers who designed pale skin. Huante also refers to other Giger's work, national historic sites, big sculptures and memorial statues of mad horse in South Dakota. Part of Huante's initial design work included the development of Alien's Facehugger precursor and the original Alien creatures, but these have been removed from the final version.
