How will our lives change in the future? Since we have better medical methods, we will live longer as a society. The answer is most likely, yes, our genetic manipulation / sequence will bring us to the next level. Instead of living to a hundred, we can live up to two hundred. More importantly, it is morally right to create "adolescence" through genetic correction. The article I recently read helped me understand somewhat. To date, researchers have scarcely succeeded in using gene therapy to correct most genetic diseases, and no researchers used gene therapy to correct fetal genetic damage (Parens).
