Valerie D. Brooks was appointed CEO of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She was the first African-American woman to receive this honor. Trial and hardship of Valerie D. Valerie works at two top hospitals in the Philadelphia area, such as Temple University Hospital and Pennsylvania University Hospital.

Thomas Jefferson University and its related hospital merged with Abington Health in May and founded a new "Jefferson" and clinical department Jefferson Health. At the hospital there are Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Abington Hospital, Jefferson Neurosciences Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and Abington Landsdale Hospital with more than 1,700 inpatient beds.

Jefferson Hospital partnered with IBM and launched a program to create a cognitive hospital ward utilizing IBM Watson Internet of Things. The SHAPE-IT program consists of a project team and PAC. I live in Thomas Jefferson University and a hospital. The members of the project team are from various departments including Mr. Thomas Jefferson and the family of the Health Promotion Council of South Pennsylvania State, Department of Regional Medicine and Population Health Promotion Office. The PAC consists of 25 members, including two co - chairs.
