How Should Science Be Done

In the movie "Double Helix Competition" we will explain how James Watson and Francis Crick collected information from other scientists and discovered the structure of DNA. This movie shows that there are many ways to do science. Stealing is definitely not appropriate. However, as shown in this movie, it is not always best to follow properly. It is most dishonest, but you can gather information from Watson and Crick and lead to your own conclusion and become famous. This is their real goal.

Recent discussions on tones raised all of these to new levels. Well, my feed should not only talk about how to discuss science, but people should talk about how people should talk about how to do science and how science should proceed Whether to talk about whether or not. I think these things are very important, but I am worried that science did not give priority to my time.

Data sharing in clinical trials, cohort studies, astronomy and colleagues is far from complete. It is not done just because it should be done. However, they are many years ahead of most "basic" science to find exploratory research to solve the problem. For most basic sciences, there is no clear answer to the question "Who is who?" Who will use it?

Regardless of whether we are talking about clinical trials (which can make or break medicine every day by human behavior) or computer science (based on my art and psychology experience) Understanding is the foundation of science. When most people think about the future of humanity, they imagine the universe that advances our species towards a better tomorrow. But science alone is not enough to solve world problems. Science needs to be done by people who understand the meaning of human beings.

Several measures are supported easily and unconditionally. Yes, good computer science courses should not be considered elective courses. Yes, more schools should provide computer science courses. Yes, we would like to have more people learn computer science. However, apart from these proposals, which are easier to support, it is not clear what to do. One suggestion is to provide a comprehensive introductory CS course for each student. You only have enough students to see if you can try it. If you are doing it and want to know more, the course has achieved its objective, and we hope to provide a more detailed course. Otherwise, the course should still teach some useful understanding, not just a bunch of programming details that students who are still not interested can never use again.
