The traditional definition of a serial killer is usually a break between murders that an individual kills three or more people alone for a period of time. (Angela Pilson, No. 2, 2011) This definition has been accepted by police and academia and therefore provides a useful reference framework (Kevin Haggerty, p. 1, 2009). In this article I will try to provide readers with an explanation of how the serial killer will look and how to describe it in the media. Several serial killers have clear and common personality traits.
Serial killer always existed, but the name "serial killer" just appeared since 1970. Prior to this, serial killer was called "unfamiliar killer". The name "serial killer" comes from the word "series". This is because serial killer is a way to kill in series (Schetor 15). Continuous murderers were hospitalized only for about 125 years. Jack The Ripper admits this. Continuous murderers are often Caucasian, heterosexual, male. They are often between 20 and 30 years old. Serial killer is malfunctioning and usually low self esteem (Schetor 28). They usually get some sort of trophy from the victim. Serial killer is identified by seven functions. First of all, killing is another. There is usually a cooling period between murders. The murder lasts months or years, usually until a murderer is arrested or until the murderer dies. Usually at least five victims will be killed by serial killers
There are two serial killers, an organizational serial killer and a disorderly serial killer. The systematic serial killer is very smart and has a plot of murder. They usually have murder weapons, they contract, they carefully leave no evidence, but take "souvenirs". Some people may also leave trademarks or exceptional clues to discard the detectives. Psychiatric patients are usually systematic continuous killers. Psychiatric patients usually know the difference between right and wrong. On the other hand, an unorganized serial killer kills people whenever there is a chance; they are cluttered, leaving clues like fingerprints, blood, and even semen. Psychiatric continuous killers are often confused with crime and are more likely to be arrested. These serial killers are often not in contact with society.
