In my experience, I learned to support people chosen, people who faced wrongs, people who were censored, people who were criticized as "different". I learned to face oppressors who tried to crush the dignity of others to temporarily (and wrongly) gain power.

I grew up beside the piano and I enthusiastically sang with my father's accompaniment. I chose Hamilton High School Music School to pursue my love of songs. My family supports my wish, but I am skeptical about commuting for three hours. But I was convinced they would let me participate. Unlike homogeneity, where I am from, Hamilton is the most diverse school in LAUSD. The choir is full of various ethnic students. The enthusiasm for our song creates racial harmony and we prosper. But outside the choir, we are self-isolating. Just like bar measures, we were divided into quads by invisible social standards at lunchtime. I learned a prelude to prejudice from my previous experience. In junior high school, some skin-tone students call themselves white wholesalists
