How Do You Define Success?

If you go to the dictionary and look for the definition of the word "success", you may find something like this:

This is a good starting point. However, many of the salespeople we cooperate have chosen to go further. They personalize the definition of words and ensure that their understanding of the concept of success strongly resonates with their own unique environment and the goals they set for themselves.

For example, if you are a sales manager you can define success as a "determination of incentives to motivate my team to really accomplish". Or you happen to manage the call center. Success can be defined as "increase call volume by 25% within 30 days".

If you are a salesperson, you may define success as "continue to synchronize with my activity goals, even during the summer, or exceed my activity goal". Alternatively, if you are a sales representative working in the corporate world, you can also define success as "earnings from the top five accounts of this year will increase by 30%."

If you have a different definition of success, I am not listed here, it is okay. I think that we all have the right to define success according to our situation. I believe that the definitions we propose may change during this process. If we are very fortunate our definition of success will be influenced by the time and model and insight from our own circle. I am very happy to be able to work closely with the company's founder David Sandler, and he said: "Sales success starts with an internal attitude," I particularly like this definition is. He means that for sales people, success is mainly between the two ears.

Success is a personal effort and we will never be satisfied unless we take a step back and take time to ask ourselves what we want to achieve in this life. We often leave decisions to others.
