How do You Define Community?

I was watching Fox news a couple days ago, I do not remember what it was, but the commentator is talking about the community. He said that the community will rotate around his neighbors and those living near his real place. According to Wikipedia, "Traditionally," community "is defined as a group of interactive people in a common position. This reminds me of all people I have contacted with all readers / friends online. I have never met most of you, we never live in the same place, but I think we are still a community.

I think the time has come to define communities as being related to the existence presence. Of course, this may be a factor, but in my opinion the community is a group of people or people who can dialogue and share some common points. Communities are actually best defined by people related to a particular community. For example, I may be connected to the Nob Hill community in San Francisco, but if I asked if I felt that I am a member of the community, I would say at least "No" yet.

The term "interaction" is also very important in defining communities. I think it is incorrect to classify groups of people next to a community accidentally unless they actually interact with each other and act as a community. For the same reason, I will not say it just because there are more than 2,500 Twitter fans that are part of my community. By default, they are part of my "tweet" community, but there are still more people from 2,500 people we have not yet talked to. I think this is a difficult topic. Because I have to assume that all 2,500 people read my tweet and follow my conversation, technically this is interactive, but I do not know that.

I promise to tell stories and exciting work to promote the growth of the local community. But community based work is not easy. How do you define the community? What is the limit? When you "cooperate" with the community, who will you talk to? What are its leaders and key figures? How can you tell if you truly represent the community and are communicating with the community?
