How APJ Abdul Kalam defined the role of President in an India Today interview in 2002

APJ Abdul Kallam, captain's son Missile man in India and the People's Secretary were born in 1931 in Rameswaram of Tamil Nadu Province. As a student at the Madras Institute of Technology, the column is responsible for making India missile by developing Agni and Plitvi.

A: There is no doubt that this will be a new type of mission. But basically it is about leadership, even if the tasks are different, it is what we trained. There is a systematic approach to careful analysis, design, and integration that can accommodate any kind of task. Furthermore, we are not limited to conducting scientific research. We studied the overall development of the country.

A: My own political definition is to create a leader to develop policies that push the country to a higher level. This is a multidimensional leadership that focuses on economic, social and political development of the country. If you look at politics from this perspective, everything will be executed.

A: I do not have time to study this problem thoroughly. What I want to say now is India is a strong country. That power comes not only from weapons but also from its economic development and political maturity.

Q: As the president, you need to do something you really do not want to do. For example, it is formal dress and formal dinner. Can I change it?

A. (LOL) Let's say this is a totally new experience. Also, you can do a lot of work even if you are having a meal.

APJ Abdul Kalam is a famous Indian scientist who later became the 11th President of India (2002-2007).
