Agricultural conservation servitude is voluntarily purchased or donated by the landlord in order to forestall agriculture for agriculture. Lands protected by servitude shall not be used for purposes other than agricultural production or commercial horses' activities. Protecting farm groups and clusters will help make agriculture a viable industry.
Land attention rather than simple expenses represents the right to prevent the development or improvement of parcels for purposes other than agricultural production. It is permanently recognized and is equivalent to a contract that moves with the land.
1. Promote agricultural development and support agricultural enterprise systems. The agribusiness system is a very complex network of producers, processors, sellers and support services.
2. Ensure that there is no development irrelevant to land agriculture, thereby providing security to landowners and bringing more capital investment.
2. We will stabilize the local tax base. (Housing development will increase taxes to provide services such as schools, police, fire departments, public facilities etc.)
Local procurement protects local farmland and food security. Connecticut loses 6,000 to 9,000 acres of farmland every year for development. As of 1997, about 6,000 acres of agricultural land are lost each year in Massachusetts State, but in New York State there are about 18,000 acres of farmland every year. The US lost 2 acres of agricultural land per minute and lost 12% of the farmland between 1982 and 2003. In terms of ecology and culture, conservation of local land maintains regional diversity. What makes food "sustainable"? Sustainable food is produced by farmers and ranchers concerned about the health of animals and raises local ingredients and seasonal ingredients directly from local farm and farm cooperatives. Why is Harrison Town's square and farmland so important? In addition to the aesthetics that we all like, farms also provide food and work. Agricultural land and open spaces bring important environmental benefits such as flood prevention, wetlands and catchments, wildlife habitats and so on. Agriculture is part of the heritage of the country and the heritage of our town. Family-run farms are inherited from generation to generation, creating unique qualities that contribute to the quality of our lives. The Township Master Plan has always emphasized the necessity of open space and farmland. Current zoning and plans to protect our town will not be the next town in Washington. I will continue to support the "Rural Rights Law" in town. We will also raise awareness about the importance of agricultural land and open spaces by collaborating with municipal conservation committees and green teams and conducting exciting educational activities for schools and communities.
