Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems

According to polls of HCAHPS, three hospitals in Florida were used for comparison of this study. Located in Pine Ridge, Naples Community Hospital and Regional Medical Center of Lee Memorial Health Systems are classified as emergency hospitals, offer emergency services and participate in stroke care registration. The focus will be pneumonia process care, nursing process improvement, and finally patient care experience - HCHAPS.

From the viewpoint of patient experience survey, HCAHPS (hospital consumer evaluation of medical professionals and systems) is the industry's gold standard. This study was developed by CMS and the Healthcare Research and Quality Institute (AHRQ) to gather patient's experience data for objective and meaningful comparison of hospitals. The HCAHPS score indicates the level of service provided by the organization, contributes to its reputation, and has a refund impact on the provider. HCAHPS is consistent and validated and guarantees the timeliness of the measurement (within 42 days after discharge from the patient). In the HCAHPS survey, samples from adult patients were randomly selected between 48 hours and 6 weeks after discharging, and patients were asked for feedback on various aspects.

The hospital healthcare provider and system consumer assessment (HCAHPS) survey provides an important way for patients to share views on hospital cleaning practices. Many patients also use their impression on the physical appearance and cleanliness of your body to determine the quality of care they receive. If you think that it is difficult for non-experts to evaluate most of factors related to the quality of medical care (training, results, collaboration etc), it makes sense because they occur behind the scenes. But it is easy to see something like visible dirt and dirty bedding, or cleaning work for housekeeping staff - and after a problem is resolved they will definitely have a long impression.
