Hoovers Relief Efforts

Roosevelt expanded Hoover's oral work-relief program, added civilian protection force (CCC), Public Works Bureau (PWA) and started work in 1935 (WPA). In 1935, the Social Security Act (SSA) and the unemployment insurance system were added. Individual relief plans are established in rural areas such as third country settlement and farm security bureaus.

When Huber and the Belgian Relief Commission (CRB) carried out an unprecedented relief activity, when Belgium faced a food crisis after being invaded by Germany in 1914.
