Hoops and Dreams

Basketball and dreams Sarah Hughs, Landon Donovan, and Venus Williams are the three most recognized sports athletes in each sport. These three players are champions and have an Olympic medal and a championship trophy to prove this. But as it becomes these three players, their age rarely becomes a topic of discussion. Everyone is a teenager, but no one complains about this fact. In leagues such as NBA and NFL, we are dissatisfied with high school graduates participating in the league.

Why is "Hoop Dream" resonating with me? This is because "Hoop Dreams" is not a basketball movie, it is not just a documentary. This is a movie with something to say but let's decide what it is. This is a movie full of impressive characters, but it is not an actor. These are real people. "Hoop Dreams" has wonderful shots and scenes, but there are no storyboards or scripts (listen to the review of the DVD that Agee Family regrets the moment when it loses home power). Finally, it is more than a persuasive documentary. You really think you are sitting in the same room with these people, participating in the same basketball game, worshiping at the same church, listening to the same doctor and coach, playing with the same asphalt coat.

The movie "Hoop's Dream" shows you the difficulties and obstacles you encountered in your dreams. Some believe that if your dreams are long enough, some say it will be realized, but Hoop Dreams and A Raisin will see the tough reality of this mistaken reality. There are so many moments in "Hoop's dream" printed in my memory, I can not name them all. But the other thing I want to pay attention is basketball games. After all, this is a movie called "Hoop Dreams". Anyone who has definitely visited the game resonates with the displayed lens. The audience of the high school game is strange. The scent of hardwood flooring. Dimmed gym. A sad face of a failed team player. It all touched your heart and caused some nostalgia. But more importantly, the game itself is a bit exciting. You (audience) were sad when William Gates' knee injury began affecting his team. We do not want to see him fail; we hope that he can get those dramatic free throws and gain a scholarship. There are usually mathematical expressions in sports movies, but "Hoop Dreams" enables mathematical expressions even if not tried.
