With their expertise, they earn about 14 dollars an hour. Your satisfaction with your employee and their negotiations will signal a meaningful signal about the future of your business. This is not just a claim of "human entrepreneurial spirit". This is a literal fact. The vast majority of how your business works is something you never see. If you do not value the expert's opinion you paid, you will insult their contribution and will probably compromise your own interest in your process.
