When the Holocaust was 14 years old, I started working at a grocery store owned by the Jews. I was born in a rural Catholic family in the village near Przemysl. In June 1941 my mother was sent to Germany for forced labor and I was left to take care of my 6 year old sister. In the second year of 1942, the Jewish district was liquidated and 13 Jews helped escape the final assembly hiding in the attic of my house. They stayed there for nearly three years, and I got food, water, clothes and whatever they needed.
