Attacks on Hollywood's Religion What I decided to analyze from the book "Hollywood and America" is "Attack on religion." In this part of the book, Michael Medved discusses Hollywood's attitude towards religion, from acceptance to awkwardness. In the past 15 to 20 years he examined the information that was sent on movies, music and television and analyzed the influence of them. According to Medved, Hollywood generally depicts religion in an unfavorable way.
It is clear that Hollywood's religious attacks are not decisive, Hollywood loses money, and established religions are declining publicly. Medved took a thorough job of assessing Hollywood's position for religion and more thoroughly defeated it. His argument against Hollywood's religious attack was endorsed by the fact that Hollywood refused to achieve it. It is unreasonable for Hollywood to continue to attack religion, especially when figures indicate that most people claim to have something to do with the religion given. It is reasonable for Hollywood to change its method only and "to take greater meaning of neutrality and balance to draw an organized belief ..." (90)
A part of my analysis from this "Hollywood and the United States" is "attack on religion". In this part of the book, Michael Medved discusses Hollywood's attitude towards religion, from acceptance to awkwardness. In the past 15 to 20 years he examined the information that was sent on movies, music and television and analyzed the influence of them. According to Medved, Hollywood generally depicts religion in an unfavorable way. In addition, Medved believes that Hollywood not only takes a hostile attitude towards religion but also literally paid compensation. They seem to be unable to challenge, as all of Medved's claims are well supported and documented. However, Hollywood, including movies, music and television, continues to ignore the obvious facts revealed by Medved.
Medved analyzed the reasons for Hollywood's religious attacks and narrowed it down to two specific reasons. One of the reasons is "Motivation of movies, television, music giants is to pursue profits" (87) and they believe that they can earn money through religious religion. But the main reason is that they constantly pursue "respect for colleagues" (87). And religion is "a fundamentally serious theme that everyone in the world accepts" (88). Therefore, when writers and directors attack religion, they feel as though they were some important and brave statement, regardless of how clumsy the attacks are or whether they were invented "Therefore," A filmmaker can win respect for his colleague, even if his work is rejected by the public "(88)
