People Power Anniversary is a holiday on February 25 of the previous year. This is not a work or school holiday, but activities and rituals to celebrate the anniversary will continue to be done. In 2009, the nearest Monday to February 25 was declared as a special festival for all schools (public and private).

The anniversary of the People's Power Revolution is the Philippine holiday and anniversary held on February 25 every year. This holiday is an important holiday for many Filipinos as it was the day when the People's Revolution revived democracy in February 1986. The People's Power Revolution was a series of demonstrations in the Philippines between 1983 and 1986. This revolution is against government violence and embarrassing election fraud. Many crowds from Manila began to revolutionize the streets of the city. This revolution leads to the collapse of the government, which I believe is a lot of people being evil and corrupt, leading to the escape of President Ferdinand Marcos from the country.

The People's Power Revolution (also referred to as the EDSA Revolution and the 1986 Philippine Revolution or EDSA 1986) was a series of popular demonstrations in the Philippines held in Manila mainly from February 22 to 25, 1986. Civilian resistance to regime violence and ongoing campaign against suspicion of election fraud. The nonviolent revolution brought the end of dictator Ferdinand Marcos's 21-year totalist rule, and the recovery of democracy in the Philippines.

The story behind the anniversary of the People's Power can be traced back to the events that took place from February 22 to 25, 1986. The crowd disillusioned mainly from the downtown of Manila held a revolution on the street of Manila. This revolution eventually led to the collapse of many people who believe in corruption and repression. In Manila, the main road called EDSA was the main event place during the revolution. About 2 million people protested on this street due to this historical incident. As the revolution changed and the Philippine political system was reformed, many Filipinos consider this holiday to be historic and important.
