Every country in the world has a different festival tradition. There are various events, but there are some similarities. In Thailand and the United States, festivals throughout the country celebrate tradition and ties people together.

First, Thai and American holidays celebrate tradition. The Songkran Festival is a traditional Thai New Year's Day, celebrated from April 13th to April 15th. It is also known as the "water festival" because people believe that water will wash away the bad luck. Many Thai people visit their local temples to pray and wash their Buddha statues. The Buddha statue of the house shrine was also cleaned up. This cleaning ceremony brings good luck and prosperity next year. Likewise, the Independence Day is a US holiday called "July 4". Americans celebrated the day with a parade and fireworks. The parade was held on the main street. High school students play band music and shake the American flag. In the evening, they went to the park to see the fireworks show.

Also, these Thai and American vacations connect people. On the day of the Songkran Festival, most Thai visitors return to their hometown (including family members, friends, monks) to visit the elders, apologize and appreciate all the bad behaviors that they did, whether they were deliberate or not I showed respect. There are several holidays, like Thanksgiving, to appreciate what you have and to help repay the unfortunate people.
