Mandan is an indigenous native of North America. Mandan was one of the first tribes living in the Great Plains of the Midwest. Unlike other plain Indians, Mandan lives in the Big Bend of the Missouri River and is now a settler known as North Dakota. Most of the tribes living in the plain are hunters / collectors, but after eating we live the lives of nomads, but Mandan is a grower who mainly lives with crops. Every year, warriors leave the hunting community and go to search Buffalo in the plain. Buffalo is not only for their main source of meat, but also for clothes and shelters.
Mandan Indians is a small and quiet tribe located near Bismarck in North Dakota, near Kawasaki, Missouri. Mandan is known for its familiarity and homeland, and is known as the Earth Lodge. Mandarin tribal women have their own gardens, prepare meals, and tend to maintain accommodation. Meanwhile, men spend time hunting and exploring spiritual knowledge. Mandan Indians has held many rituals such as Buffalo Dance and Okipa Ceremony. These are of great interest to many historians.
In October the army was found to build Mandenburg (near Staunton, North Dakota) and arrive in the village of the Mandan Indian tribe who spent the winter of 1804-1805. Manders lives on the land along the Missouri River. Their neighbor, Hidatsa lives near the Knife River. The village of Mandan and Hidatsa is the center of the wonderful trade network. Lewis and Clark were not the first European Americans to visit this area. During the winter, Louis and Clark wanted a Frenchman who lived with hindedesa (sometimes called Minnary) Indian for many years. His name is Toussaint Charbonneau, the captain wants him to act as an interpreter. They became real
Sacagawea is a young girl pregnant at just 16 or 17 years old when Lewis and Clark arrived in the Mandan village now in the center of North Dakota. But she is not Mandan, not even the next Hidatsa tribe. She came from the center of the Sean tribe Rocky Mountains. And it calls Rui and Clark Snake Indians. She was kidnapped and used as a slave when she was 12 years old. Her prisoners are Hidasa who accompanied them along the Misauri. Then Hidatsa sold her to French catcher Toussaint Charbonneau.
Lewis and Clark. In November 1805, her and her husband traveled to Meriwether Lewis Camp and William Clark Camp near the Mandan tribe of North Dakota State. At that time she was about 16 years old. When Louis and Clark left Fort Mandan in the spring of 1806, Charbonneau, Sakagawa, and their son Baptiste of their babies were born in the fort in February and accompanied the expedition. It is not Lewis or Clark that particularly requires Sharudonar as mentoring and translation skills. Lewis and Clark knew that they needed to get horses from Shoshone, and Sakagabia was the only person speaking the language. They needed her, so they agreed to bring Charbonneau. Contrary to the general belief, Sacagawea did not serve as a guide. Since I was young she has never been to the land of Shoshone. In addition to being an expedition team of translation services, she also knows how to find the edible roots and vegetation.
