Van Gogh lived in a special era - this is a very short period of time in art history, during which the landscape and still life paint became the focus of the art world. (Or, in the history of art, in a very short period, there are two different art worlds in the meantime.) But it is not time for artists to reduce philosophical, political or moral issues to some extent. But in general, artists suffering from these things are forgotten; yet life is with us.
