HIST-154: US History to 1877

The early history of America began long before the country "America" ​​was born. It started with the indigenous peoples of North America and moved to the era of European colonization and conquest. The American story has evolved from its proper revolution and the "Union" era to decades of struggle to separate it from the diplomatic and economic conspiracy of England, France and Spain. Since the 1920s, the United States has focused on domestic economic growth and territorial expansion (the sacrifice of Native American, Mexico and other countries).

At the same time as this expansion, discussions on the existence and expansion of African-American slavery are getting intense in newspapers, streets, and politics. By the 1950s, the conflict between the northern and southern part of the country could not be reconciled, eventually leading to the liberation of the southern states and the formation of the Southern United States of America. The civil war (1861-1865) won by the Northern States was later called long-term reconstruction, the Confederates that were defeated in the meantime reintegrated politically to the United States, the Federal government promised to slaughter slavery.

The resources in this section are mainly organized in chronological order, and are organized locally from there. I tried to include investigating documents and materials not found in textbooks.
