Hippocrates is the Fist Known Physician to Consider Medicine as Science

Prior to the development of body fluid theory people thought that angry gods and demons are the factors that cause disease. In order to heal themselves, people need to ask for forgiveness of God or remove evil spirits from their bodies. Next, the priest who treated was the first known doctor (Francko 372). Many people believe that the birth of Galen is the most important contributor to this drug after Hippocrates. Galen lived in Rome with his parents in Greece, where he was a gladiator doctor and a few of the emperor's private doctors. He has published about 500 papers and is highly appreciated for his contributions to anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.

Medical and philosopher Abi Chenna (aka, Ibn - Sina, who died in 1037) continues medical progress that some people consider as the most important doctor since Hippocrates. He wrote "Canon of Medicine" which became an authoritative reference book for physicians in this area - and once translated into Latin - Western staple food for the 6th century. Canon summarizes medical knowledge and drug test manuals, but also includes the findings of Avicenna herself, including infectivity of tuberculosis.

Hippocrates' s job was a great breakthrough in medical history. He showed a model for an ideal doctor, and during the following centuries others have mimicked their existence.
