Higher Education and Society I remember learning how to increase or decrease basic skills of reading and writing when I attend public school. These basic skills are necessary to play a role in the American society and the labor force. As everyone knows, each child learns in a different way. Our public schools are overcrowded and we do not have enough teachers to satisfy the needs of each student. Some students are forgotten and do not have the skills to learn to go to the next level.

The importance of the effect depends on what society expects to achieve through higher education. We first ask basic questions: What is the role of higher education in society? In this case, what does effectiveness mean? Once the effectiveness is determined, how is it measured? After this discussion, I will briefly explain the historical development of American higher education and its current structure and issues. I explored the background of the issues discussed here and did this to analyze the effectiveness of higher education in the US at the system level, campus level, and at the classroom level. These three departments play an important role in effective policies and practices and therefore provide useful insights on the topics discussed in this issue1. In our culture today, people put great emphasis on education, especially higher education. Society basically tells you that the higher your education, the better you will be. This is true if you are living a social life. Education, especially college education, is not a new idea, even though the basic concepts that people should accomplish should be pursued even if they are adults. Every society has a dedicated person to carry out specific duties that require long-term education. In some cases, these people are called wizards, pastors or professors, or they may be doctors, mechanics, blacksmiths or artists. In all of these occupations, some form of higher education is necessary. It may come from an apprenticeship or strict private research, or it may take the form of formal higher education.
