High Application Exception Rate

Most non-BIA schools offering services to American Indians are applying for an electronic rate plan. In schools with a maximum of 2% admission to the American Indians, in schools with 50% to 80% American Indians, the application rate ranges from a maximum of 80% to a minimum of 60%. The application rate for schools without American Indian students is approximately 75%. § BIA school has significantly improved the usage rate of E-Rate between Grade 1 and Grade 2 in the first year of the E-Rate program. The highest application rate (over 95%) is analyzed in any group of schools, and the income per funding contribution per student is more than three times the national average. Total commitment to BIA schools has increased by 20 times from just $ 300,000 in the first year to more than $ 6 million in the second year.
