In Hester's letter, there are many characters playing a remarkable role in "red letters" written by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Hester Prynne is the most famous person. Hester got a big change in the process of the novel. At the beginning of the novel, she was thought of as an extreme sinner through the eyes of Puritan; she violated Puritan and committed adultery (Chuck). Because of this irrevocable severe sin, she has to wear the symbol of shame for the rest of her life. But Hawthorn 's romantic philosophy abandoned Puritan' s faith (Chuck).

Converting to Hester Prynne's "Red Letter" Because Hester Prynne committed such a severe crime, she turned her life into torture and failure. At "Red Letter", Nathaniel Hawthorne, Hester was admitted publicly as a foreign body contaminant and exiled from society.
